Our Mission

The Tallahassee Bombers Youth Development Program was specifically founded and dedicated to developing young athletes. Our program is designed to provide players on our teams with maximum opportunities to grow physically and mentally through the game of baseball. Player development is critical at a young age in order to achieve long term success. We are not travel ball. We are a fully loaded program surrounded around the fundamentals of baseball as well as speed, flexibility, and strength training that ensures a player’s future success in baseball and in life.

Why Player Development?

Our program uses practice and training as the main driver allowing the player, coach, and teams to focus on the areas of the game that will impact performance the most such as fitness, mechanics, tactical understanding, mental strength, and team confidence. We use tournaments to measure a players’ development individually and as a team. This type of environment provides players with quality repetitions, constructive competition, and growth through accountability to themselves, their coaches and their teammates creating a well-rounded athlete.

Early success at a young age does not mean long term success if player development isn’t at the forefront. Poor mechanics that were once overshadowed by their natural gifts (i.e. Size, Speed, and Strength) will become detrimental to their game in the future. This is why training and proper fundamentals are critical at a young age.

Our Coaches

We take pride in our coaches! All of our coaches are highly knowledgeable with coaching and playing experience in high school, travel, collegiate, and professional levels of the game. Our coaches aim to take players’ skills to their next level with individual player planning and constant one on one skill development at games and during practices. We are firm believers in building confidence through positive interactions and allowing players to fail. The biggest lessons are learned through those failures. Doing this enables players the ability to battle through adversities in a competitive atmosphere. We require all of our coaches to grow their coaching skills and knowledge of the game through in house and online training. All coaches are USA Baseball certified. We also provide each coach practice plans according to age group as well as fundamental assessment plans to allow smooth and productive learning environment.
